Poll reveals Americans’ views on Biden and the borders

Several polls have been conducted recently to find out the opinion of the American public regarding how President Joe Biden has handled different sectors in the last three months. Regarding the opinion of American citizens, a recent poll conducted by The Washington Post and ABC News reveals that, overall, the local population approves of Biden’s job as the 46th president of the US, his reaction to the health crisis caused by COVID-19 and his impact on the economy. Yet the American public disapproves of the way Biden is handling the current situation at the borders.

• The poll was conducted from April 18-21 and the results were released on Saturday April 24th. 1,007 American adults answered the poll (Republicans, Democrats, and Independents).
• Overall, 52% of voters support the way Biden is doing his job as the nation’s president.
• Regarding the immigration situation at the US-Mexico border, 37% of voters approve of Biden’s reaction and 53% disapprove of his reaction. In fact, 42% of voters strongly disapprove of the way Biden is handling the surge of illegal border crossings.

How might this opinion affect Biden’s plans?
