Biden already lifted several restrictions related to the political asylum process

It is no secret that the Biden administration has always had big plans to lift limitations implemented by the previous administration on the political asylum process. In fact, his government has already removed several limitations related to the immigration sector and, specifically, to political asylum.

For instance, one of Biden’s first actions was related to the political asylum process. The current president suspended new enrollment in the MPP (Migrant Protection Protocols) program and days later proposed a resettlement plan to assist asylum seekers affected by this policy.
