Survey: Approval of Biden’s immigration plans plummets

Pew Research Center conducted a survey between September 13-19 that included 10,371 respondents, which reveals that the American public’s approval rating of Biden’s approach to immigration has fallen dramatically over the past few months.

Let’s look at the key figures:

• 56% of respondents do not trust Biden’s decisions on immigration, which undoubtedly includes how his administration is addressing the surge of illegal border crossings.
• Of this 56%, 20% have not much confidence and 37% have no confidence at all regarding Biden’s immigration ideals.
• Since March 2021, the approval rate for Biden’s immigration decisions has declined by 12% among Democratic respondents, 7% among Republican respondents and 10% among Independent respondents.

Since January, most polls conducted nationally reveal that a high percentage of the American population does not fully support Biden’s approach to immigration.

However, the numbers from the Pew Research Center survey show a fairly significant drop in approval of Biden’s immigration policies, which could be an impediment to his administration’s push for comprehensive immigration overhaul.

What does the American public think of Biden’s work in general?
