Vice President Harris travels to the borders

It is no secret that the surge of illegal border crossings that has taken place since the end of 2020, but which has increased since the beginning of 2021, has been a gigantic challenge for the current administration of the US, led by President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris.

Former President Donald Trump will also visit the border territory

It is clear that, unlike the current president, former President Donald Trump had the goal of reducing immigration levels in the US, both legal and illegal. Therefore, one of his most famous and striking proposals was to build a wall in the border territory, hire hundreds of agents to detain undocumented immigrants, and implement policies that narrowed the alternatives available to vulnerable communities such as asylum seekers.

In fact, former President Trump plans to travel to the borders next Wednesday, June 30, along with a dozen members of the RSC (Republican Study Committee). The RSC Chairman stated that the Biden administration destroyed Trump’s effort to protect the borders and that the reason for this trip is precisely to give their opinion on how to resolve the current situation with the help of the former president.
