Poll: Battleground States Support Immigration Reform
Poll finds battleground states support path to citizenship
A recent poll conducted by Democratic pollster Matt Barreto and Republican pollster Daron Shaw, which included 1,217 respondents, reveals where battleground states stand on immigration reform.
It is important to explain that, in this case, when we talk about immigration reform we are referring to the possibility of opening a path to legalization for immigrants residing in the US undocumented.
Regarding immigration, the poll focused on the immigration legislation included in Biden’s 2022 budget package, which proposes to open a path to citizenship for essential undocumented foreign workers.

What are battleground states?
The term battleground state refers to certain states that do not have a definitive political identity since the number of both Republican and Democratic voters is quite similar.
Therefore, the outcome of both national and local elections in these states is usually quite uncertain because the two political parties seem to be in a constant tie.
