Poll reveals that immigration is again a top issue

A poll recently conducted by The Economist and YouGov reveals that American citizens are considering immigration as a top issue again, after several months in which it was not such a relevant topic.

The poll was conducted between September 18-21 and included 1,500 American adults who are divided among different groups such as Democrats, Republicans, Independents, men, women, Hispanics and Black communities.

• At 10%, immigration now ranks as the fourth most important issue for American citizens, a 3% increase over multiple recent polls.
• A poll also conducted by The Economist and YouGov between September 4-7 ranked immigration as the sixth most important issue for American citizens, at 7%.
• The Economist and YouGov conducted the same poll between July 3-6, which revealed that most Republican citizens viewed immigration as a major problem. However, the most recent poll reveals that the percentage is balancing between Republicans, Democrats and Independents.

The poll’s results might be related to the border situation
