Stephen Miller Exposes Trump’s Immigration Agenda
The Trump administration’s immigration agenda
President Donald Trump is seeking re-election and his administration has a long list of executive orders to use if he is elected as the leader of the US for the next four years.
In fact, in one of our most recent articles, we talk about comments from former Department of Homeland Security (DHS) officials, who state that President Trump’s senior adviser, Stephen Miller, has multiple executive orders that would directly affect the US immigration sector if the Trump administration wins a second term.
This is certainly not unexpected news because, over the past four years, the local immigration system has changed substantially under the presidency of Donald Trump, who assures that mass immigration is extremely damaging to the country and that the government must reduce it in order to protect American sovereignty and workers.

Miller comments on immigration executive orders
Stephen Miller, also known as the “architect” of the most controversial immigration policies implemented by the Trump administration, who has also been accused of having ideals of “white supremacy and xenophobia,” gave a 30-minute interview to NBC News, where he exposes executive orders on the waiting list, which would tremendously affect the immigration system of the US.
In fact, NBC News states that it is an “aggressive second-term immigration agenda.” Let’s look at some of Miller’s proposals regarding immigration:
- Further limit employment-based visas in order to protect local workers, who, in his opinion, are left behind by foreign workforce, which is often less expensive.
- Increase requirements and restrictions for asylum seekers, reducing the range of possibilities for immigrants who need international protection.
- Punish or penalize “Sanctuary Cities or Jurisdictions,” which ban the cooperation of local law enforcement entities with border agencies such as Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), to avoid the detention of massive numbers of undocumented immigrants.
- Expand the travel ban, which became common after the massive outbreak of Coronavirus in the North American territory, requesting more details, personal and economic information from foreigners who plan to apply for a visa or extend their legal residence permit.
Miller states that the immigration system, modified by the previous administration (Barack Obama), still needs a deep restructuring to protect, above all, American workers, who need to be the government’s priority, even more so now that the country is going through a crisis unprecedented in recent history.
However, dozens of activists, immigrant rights advocates, critics, and immigration attorneys state that restructuring the immigration system should not mean substantially restricting the entry of foreigners, much less evading the responsibility to protect the most vulnerable immigrant communities, who need protection through political asylum or refuge.
